The meaning of Spiritualism
Spiritualism is defined by the NSAC (National Spiritualist Association of Churches) as the Science, Philosophy and Religion of continuous life, based upon the demonstrated fact of communication, by means of mediumship, with those who live in the Spirit World (1919).
This means that we believe there is a continuous life of the spirit after it has left the body. The spirit usually has the same personality traits as it did when it was still attached to the living human body. A medium can communicate with the spirit, and relay information and messages that the spirit gives to the living people that want to communicate with their departed loved ones.
